The Process of Purification: A Journey of Faith Oil – Our lives begin with the oil of our original sinful nature. As we walk through life, our experiences, mistakes, and challenges add more oil, weighing us down and separating us from the purity God intends for us. Lye – This is the turning point, where we reach rock bottom and realize we cannot do life on our own. It represents the moment of surrender. Just as lye dissolves in water, our sins are dissolved in Jesus Christ, who forgives us and sets us free. Water – Water is the living water of Jesus Christ, which purifies and renews us. When lye mixes with water, it dissolves completely, just as Christ washes away our sins. Saponification – The soap-making process removes impurities and colors, much like how Jesus sanctifies us, setting us apart for something special. He refines us and makes us whole, transforming us into vessels for His glory. Fragrance – The fragrance of the soap is a symbol of our lives as we follow Jesus. As we live for Him, we become a pleasing aroma to God, sharing His love and grace with others. Coloring – The coloring of the soap represents the light of Christ that now shines within us. We are no longer in darkness but are called to be a light to the world, reflecting His love and truth wherever we go.
